July Means One Thing! LET'S do a 6 month check in on goals…
7/8/2025
In the month of July, make a personal effort to invest in your dreams, turning them into reality. Mid-year is an ideal time to pause, reflect, and recalibrate your goals to ensure alignment with your evolving priorities and circumstances. Dreams will only come true if we transform them into goals, write them down, and set a plan in motion.
As the year progresses, unforeseen challenges and opportunities may have emerged, causing a need for adjustment of your initial objectives. By revisiting your goals at this midpoint or 6 months check in, you can determine which goals remain relevant, which need adjustment, and which can be set aside. This practice not only keeps you focused and motivated but also allows you to celebrate your accomplishments and identify areas for improvement.
When writing down your goals, it's helpful to keep them manageable. Avoid making them so large that they can’t be achieved within a set timeframe. Instead, set smaller, attainable goals that can be accomplished, providing a sense of success that paves the way to larger objectives. I recently read an article about college students and their less-than-ideal lifestyle choices, which I found relatable as a parent of a college student. The article encouraged students to create goals focused on nutrition, sleep, and stress management. Sometimes, setting goals that enhance our well-being is just as important as those aimed at growth and development.
By setting goals we direct our attention and remain laser focused. Energizing performance on these goals will provide motivation and expanded resources for success.
